Our Water Damage Restoration Process

1. Immediate Inspection of Property

Once we receive your call, we immediately contact the homeowner, business owner, or other responsible party to arrange a prompt inspection of the affected property.  

2. Damage Assessment  

A dedicated project manager—trained in restoration procedures—visits the site to assess the damage. Using advanced moisture detection tools, we determine whether water has infiltrated behind walls, beneath floors, or into other hidden areas. Digital photos are taken to assist insurance adjusters in their claims process.  

3. Standing Water Removal  

Our trained technicians remove all standing water using professional extraction equipment and/or pumps. When necessary, we remove sections of base molding, drywall, flooring, ceiling tiles, and insulation to access concealed damp areas.  

4. Carpet Salvaging  

We lift and salvage carpeting whenever possible. Water-damaged padding is removed and discarded to accelerate drying.  

5. Drying Process  

To rapidly reduce humidity and prevent mold growth, we deploy commercial-grade air movers and dehumidifiers strategically throughout the property. We use the latest high-tech drying equipment available. For severe or large-scale water damage, CM Restorations can secure dehumidification trailers capable of drying entire structures.  

6. Disinfection of the Affected Site

7. Drying & Salvaging Possessions  

We thoroughly dry and restore items such as important documents, artwork, furniture, draperies, computers, appliances, and other electronics whenever possible.  

8. Re-Inspection & Additional Services  

Over the following days, we re-inspect the property to ensure the drying process is progressing properly. Once complete, we coordinate any additional services needed—such as carpet repairs, padding replacement, or professional carpet cleaning. If the carpet cannot be salvaged, CM Restorations can assist with the replacement process.
